It's a Girl!

Break out the cigars, gentlemen, and prepare to aaaawwwe, ladies, because Hailey was born Monday night at 5:30 pm. Here are the much awaited pictures of our healthy baby. She is 5 lbs. 3 oz. and about 18 1/2 inches.


And of course, the worn out mugs of two very proud parents.
















The sudden news is due to an emergency CS that Mom endured beautifully. The capable staff at Sutter wisked us away into the OR as soon as the blood work showed things were getting risky. Needless to say it wasn't the way we wanted things to go but Hailey's health is great and Amy is recovering like the champ we all know. That's not to say it's been easy on her. It's always easier to be working on a patient than it is to be the patient!
