May 21, 2006... Happy One Year Anniversary Amy and Patrick. We celebrated by heading to Santa Cruz. The weekend turned out a bit rainy but that was a nice break from the 95 degree days here in Sacramento. Grammie and Bop bop Stone watched Hailey so we could go out and enjoy an evening out on the town. It was nice to have a break but was a bit nerve racking at the same time for mom, who kept checking the clock and asking if we should call to see if everything was okay.
The picture shows us cutting our anniversary cake. The Buttery in Santa Cruz gives you a one year cake instead of the old tradition of keeping the top layer in the freezer. The cake is a whopping 3.5 inches round, but tasted spectacular.
