A short stop in the middle of nowhere for the entire family to get of the car, eat, and expend energy. We took an interesting route from Junction City to Westport, gravel roads at time, and scenic the entire way. Five hours is a long time to ride in the car with a dog and a one year old.
The instant we arrived Hailey was cruising on the uneven terrain and picking up every stick in sight. Even the sticks as tall is she is.

We drove down the coast to spend the day in Mendicino. We hiked out onto the headlands to watch the waves hit the rocks below.
Another four hour drive... this time we stopped off at Lake Mendicino, which worked out perfectly to eat lunch and use up some energy playing in the water.

Great pictures at the beach! I worry the yellow date lettering distracts from the great shots though. There should be some way to turn that off. The data for the date and time is embedded in the file so if you ever want it you can always look at the original file. But if you want it that way, they are your pictures!
