Starting October 29, just about Hailey's 6 month birthday, we have been able to let her sit without holding onto her. We have been working on it for a while but I think she is finally starting to do it. The first day we took pictures we had to sit her up and hurry to take the shot and then grab her again, now we can sit her up for close to a minute at a time. Each day keeps getting better, and she can even reach for toys while she is up. She really enjoys sitting now and does not like to lay flat on her back except to sleep. If she is on her back she rolls right over to her tummy or tries to sit up and cries for someone to come help.
